#1 Gift, Mercy Showing (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
For the most part, it seems to be an innate part of my personality. Also, GOD has shown me mercy throughout my life and my prayer is that I see others as Christ see’s them and not in the natural.

#2 Gift, Giving (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am understanding the importance of purpose, destiny, and stewardship. With that in mind GOD is showing me how profound it is to be sustained by him and in return being able to sustain others. Giving to others who would not be able to, nor are they meant to give back. I am also recognizing the totality of giving, ie – time, self, and resources.

#3 Gift, Prophecy (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’m slightly surprised about this gift; however, I do believe GOD has given me somewhat of a platform in my occupation to be able to speak life into the lives of others.

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I, like many others, was raised to attend church. I began to develop my own personal/ meaningful relationship with Christ in my late teens. While attending college and trying to stay away from church I realized I was incomplete without a relationship with ”The Father”. After the passing of my natural father, before my 21’st birthday, I began to experience trials that created my own testimony hence the journey began.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I began serving as a member of a youth praise and worship team around 1989-90. Years later I became a member of an adult praise and worship team that lasted approximately 9 or 10 years. I have also served as an assistant to my former pastor’s wife. Pilgrim’s Ministry of Deliverance, Georgetown, De.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Practical life lessons taught by my mother and father – ie- How to be kind to others despite the way they treat you, strong work ethics, and simple money management skills.

Learning how to play a musical instrument exposed me to various musical genres and granted me access to other well rounded people.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My father’s death. My father became ill while I was in my second year of Nursing School. I didn’t have government funding nor a student loan and was fearful that I was going to be asked to leave school because of the lack of finances. During that time I failed a class which removed me for the entire semester. During the time I was home my father was placed under hospice services. My mother and I completed his care at home until his death. During his illness he wanted to know ”what was I going to do with my life” and my response was to finish school. He seemed content with that answer and the following year after his death I re-enrolled and completed my degree. Since then I have completed my BSN, MSN, multiple certifications, and achieved multiple awards. GOD even allowed my to participate in a commercial, billboard advertisements, and magazine ads. I’ve had an awesome career.

Divorce was a hard pill to swallow. Divorce only highlighted the contrast between having success in one area of my life and a failure in another area. The embarrassment and stigma is a painful experience. Through it all I have learned to be even more compassionate for others, not so quick to give my advice concerning relationships, and am allowing GOD to deal with my insecurities and self images that are distorted. I also have a stronger prayer life and enjoy worship that much more.

I don’t really talk about it but, the subtle racism that I experienced during my college years helped me develop self control, patience, and compassion. I was always a quiet and a non confrontational person as a child and never wanted to be that person who cried racism; however, people will seem to take your kindness and ability to be reserved for granted. Growing from a child to an adult I have learned how to take a stand having critical conversations, when needed, without being disrespectful. The experience was what I needed but have chosen, even though asked, not to be an active alumnus for multiple reasons. The education I received definitely prepared me for what we call, ”the real world” in nursing when I graduated.
