[E]xperience
I was taught in the ways of God at a very young age & I gave my life to God but I believe that I really started to understand Christianity & the things of God clearly around 14 or 15 & that’s when I believe I took serving God seriously for myself.
I served under my parents in young ministry at Jesus Is Lord Church of Delierance in Georgetown De for many years.
I would say that when I was 3 or 4 years old I would pray with my grandmother that God would save my mom. I didn’t understand what I was praying but I do believe that my spirit was in agreement because I felt good when I would pray this prayer & God answered my prayer my mom got saved & has been every since. I will always remember that God heard me when I was a little girl & that’s one of the reasons I know He’s real.
Also, when my biological father abandoned me; God sent a man that would be my father & has fathered me from his heart & this has shaped me into the woman that I am today & has blessed my life & guarded me from many troubles & evils.
Think being abandoned at a young age has help me have compassion on others who have been abandoned & in my case everyone doesn’t get someone to full that void & do it from their heart but my heart goes out to people that deal with that because this really does affect a person life & psych.
Well I didn’t want this or never thought this would happen to me but I never wanted to be the broken hearted girl but some of this was my own doing & the other individual involved. That experience taught me something about myself & other things. But now I can be wise in guarding my heart & obey God & the people He’s put in your life & don’t tell desire & lust lead because it will need in disaster. I’m touched with others that have experienced this or when it’s my time is to share that I can help someone not go down that road.
Also, my past negative church experience like God was mad at me because I didn’t do this or that right or that I had to earn God’s goodness, or for God to continue to like & love me. This has given me great understanding of God’s grace, who He really is & that I am really His child no matter what. That the message of grace & mercy is key to how God feels about me & He don’t take it back!
