Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Heard about Jesus as a young child and kept putting him off until I was 12 at church camp. I couldn’t put off any more what I knew was true. I believed he died for even my sins and knew I wanted to be in Heaven with Him forever. Since then He’s been gracious to provide relationships and experiences that have helped me grow to know Him and love Him more and want to be more like Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Charlotte First Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC: various positions helping mostly with children, puppet ministry, choir, VBS, Awanas, apartment ministry, etc.

Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Greenville, SC: VBS, 3 year old Sunday School teacher, choir, Youth girls small group leader.

North Wake Church in Wake Forest, NC: TeenMops ministry

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Going to a Christian school and leaving it farther from Christ than when I entered but meeting some really great Christians.

Attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and learning about my idols and more about who I am in Christ.

Serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Mexico and realizing that people are very different and yet very much the same; missionaries are sinners, too.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I struggle with my relationship with my mom and this has given me understanding with other people who have family troubles.

Serving in Mexico with Wycliffe made me sometimes feel inadequate because the linguists are SO smart and have such a specific skill. I learned that God has a purpose for me elsewhere and a better fit but He made those linguists specifically for translating His Word.

I caused a popcorn fire while in seminary and didn’t have renters insurance. It impacted not just myself but my roommates and those living below us as well. It greatly humbled me and taught me how to better steward my finances.

  • Everyone Else After those

3. Open my large home up to many, many children with emotional hurts.
