[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love spending time in prayer – by myself and with groups of others. I believe that prayer is the language of God – and He bends his ear to us as we talk to Him – He desires to see us – ASK, Seek, Knock and the door will be open to us. It is the key to contentment and also blessing it it the key to heart broken and praise and worship. It has been the only reason that I have been able to handle life with all that has come our way. It is one of my highest passions.

2. I love to hear stories of how God is working in the world and others lives. I would love to videotape stories so others could share the same experience.

3. I would love to develop ministries that would draw others in and then see that ministry grow where there were 2nd and 3rd generations of believers practicing that gift and talent for the kingdom.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I do not have a preference for age group – I have served in many places – not sure about this one . need more time to think about this ….

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I love seen God working in the body – I am concerned with the way the church is structured so that it can operate with the least amount of confusion and the greatest efficiency – not spending alot of time figuring things out – but a clear path to serving and growing the Kingdom of God. Many times folks drift out of the church – because they have not found their value in the body and have no direction – this is a great step forward – calling others to find their gifts and a call to serve – but also to live God in all parts of our lives.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I Lived as a missionary Kid in South Africa – till I was 12. On one of the last trips to America to raise support – we were in our home church and I do not remember the sermon – or even what it was about -. But I do remember going home and asking my Dad about salvation and the fact that I had never asked Jesus in my heart. He explained it a little more and there in our house – I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Audio / Visual – Sound Systems etc. –
My home church – ran sound for all kinds of services – weddings and many other youth activities – did slide shows and sound for youth group through out High School. – Judson Baptist Church.

NPBC – have had several positions – including children’s sunday School – teaching classes – sound and produced audio visual shows. Have been deacon and also on the buildings and grounds team.
Woodland Baptist Church – Awana leader / Sunday school for adults and also Deacon.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Moving from Chicago to this area – this is now home for my family. Moving into a house that needed to be repaired and renovated from top to bottom – to make it home that can be shared and used for groups of people. taught me That God owns it all and that He alone will supply all that we need – Dependence on God.

Becoming a contractor and business owner – I have learned a-lot and also – what not to do . Taught me discipline and persistence.

Marriage – the most important – to love my wife and my children – is my passion – they are in my heart and my mind all the time. This has taught me to love – despite the failings of my self and to love despite the stumbling of my children and has taught me to love my wife – with all my heart and mind and soul.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I have been involved in several church splits and this tested my faith and belief in God – but going through this help me realize that sometimes God Disciplines a church – cleans it out of those that have strayed – because He wants to do a work through that church – and He cannot do it with the Shape that is in. Everyone of the churches that I had these experiences – are being used of God more than I could of imagined.

I have my children go astray and it has caused great conflict and heart brokedness with Kim and I – But have loved them and got them back on their feet – and God is working in their lives. This was a real testing point in Kim and Me and stretched us to some almost breaking points.

Loss of Our parents – to be in our fifties and have lost both of our parents – it is still hard. But it has taught us great dependence on God and a new love for each other – as we served together in their end of this life – look forward to seeing them and also Kim’s Brother in heaven.
