#1 Gift, Teaching (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I tend to need more information than an average learner to fully understand and build a conceptual model of new material. In other words I might be a “slow learner”. However, I’ve found this tends to make me effective as a teacher as I try relay new information to new learners, as I am careful not to skip over the relevant details when teaching.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I want to understand what causes a persons problems to persist and help them to find ways to solve or accept them as features of their lives that can be worked with if they cannot be eliminated.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am intrigued with the possibility of reaching others who have faced doubts and hurdles in their lives similar to my own that kept them from understanding why they want and need God in their lives. I see that there is a great deficit of substantive meaning and integrity in the culture of modern people. I would like to be an agent for new understanding of what God has to offer to people of all creeds.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

For years I questioned whether God existed and would have told others that I was agnostic. In the past few years I came to see the examples of Christian friends as proof that truth as stated by secular voices was destructive and ineffective for making sense of the ”mystery” of our lives and our consciousness. I started to search again for God’s direction and prayed for him to show me how he works. I have seen the difference he makes in others and the power to change and provide the the impossible, removal of self doubt and meaningless. I accepted Jesus as my savior when I was at my lowest after being broken up with by the girl I loved. I can say honestly that if not for Gods help and the inspiration of Jesus’s selfless sacrifice for us I believe I would be wallowing in self pity and aimlessness. But he has continued to have patience with me and I want continue to follow him and grow to meet his greatest potential for me.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Reading Jordan Peterson’s 12 rules for live was a great inspiration for me to change the way I looked at things.

Traveling to Haiti and then later to Washington Oregon and Canada for several months with a few friends to work and find new jobs on the road helped me to be more self reliant and grow a larger perspective.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I’ve been in a depression before that robbed me of physical and mental energy to the point of being useless.
