#1 Gift, Evangelism (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel I have these gifts because God has uniquely designed me with an ability to understand root cause and cut through to truth without harming relational boundaries. I am able to communicate these truths as they are given to me, but more often than not it is through sharpening iron on iron that my true witnessing takes place.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to bring out the best in people, and seeing joy in others as they grow. I believe the individual is very important to both small groups and large groups.

#3 Gift, Prophecy (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe I have it for the same reason that I have the ability to share my failures and point others to Christ and also, the ability to encourage others where they are at. Prophecy to me is important so that others grow and recognize who they are and where they are so that God can call them to be who they are becoming and go where they are being called.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to sing in worship to God and give my gifts back to God.

2. I love being in a community with others who are growing, learning, and serving together.

3. I love making an impact on the world around me for God.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love connecting with my peers, and spending time listening to older people as well.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I am always excited to see hope restored, and true transformation take place in people’s lives. I also love to see unity and the breaking down of barriers whether they be from societal norms, or because of hurt or broken relationships. Reconciliation is important because we fall short, but still have to make efforts to advance the kingdom despite burnt bridges.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I became a Christian first through organized church, but then did not enter the church world again until I was a teen starving for real relationship from caring friends. I entered an internship as a young teen and found a home among some of the young believers. This stirred me on until the need to answer God’s call came to me to become a leader causing me to grow beyond what I had been. This is where I truly found what fuels me. Relationship and growth as a community.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have served on the usher team setting up chairs as the administration team helping making informational cards. I have served in creative arts team, and worship teams. I have been a small group leader and a youth ministry leader. All at either the Vineyard Community Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia or at The Vermilion Valley Vineyard in Danville Illinois. I have been serving this church organization in one capacity or another for over ten years.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Saying yes to opportunities that I felt I wasn’t ready for and letting God do the rest. I remember saying yes to playing on Sunday worship for a rag tag team that was put together in the last minute. I was very hesitant to do so, but did anyway because the need arose. That has taught me to meet the need and if I have to ability to I have the responsibility to.

I remember when I was involved in my youth ministry I wanted to be apart of worship before I really knew how to play an instrument, and so the DJ/light man at the time showed me how to use the light board to create moods and ultimately add to worship without being on stage.

I have had many chances to serve the community, but didn’t learn that I have a heart for the broken until I began attending a hotdog outreach that feed the locals that used the mass transit. Seeing the change of heart really stirred me on and fulfilled a part of me that I didn’t know was there.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:
