S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Ron Parizeau for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. [H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Sharing the gospel, seeing and hearing how God makes a difference in our lives, especially the 2nd birth.

2. Being one in spirit and truth, where the Spirit of God is free to move and there is a sense of unity in purpose and understanding.

3. Spending time and enjoying the fellowship of those I love in an atmosphere of fun or a special occasion.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

It doesn’t matter the age but I enjoy working to a common goal that is needed and with people that are there to get the job done and are encouraging to those around them.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I tend to lean on the conviction/leading of the Holy Spirit to inspire me as to what He is calling me to do.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I seemed to always have believed in God but I didn’t have a true understanding of my relationship with Him. I eventually saw my need and dependency upon Him for everything and I wanted everything He had for me, if I yielded to His Spirit.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I’ve served in many churches but I’ve found out that where the Word is taught(as most important), the Spirit of God is free to move, and love of God is evident is the church I want to be in.

Whenever 2 or 3 are gathered in His Name, He is there.

Ministry is not doing a job for God but doing the job God called you to do.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Realizing God is my loving Father and He is good.

Being loved by the people of God and realizing that they are your family.

I really appreciated those who took the time to mentor, teach, and show me God’s truths in an encouraging manner.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Knowing what it is like to be picked last, or left out.

Having my expectations dashed and broken by those that I was close to.

Realizing that the lies of the enemy were meant to keep me discouraged but they were lies and God is here to cheer His kids on.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. To be continually used by the Lord.

4. To continue to grow in knowledge and understanding and wisdom

5. To be free to do what God says and open to His Spirit’s leading.
