Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised by two very devout believers. I had a life-changing experience with God at six and did not grow in my faith for over 13 years. I surrendered my life to Jesus in my first year of college. I believe I trusted God at six but began following Jesus at 19.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I sang and preached in college as part of a large men’s chorus that traveled over 10,000 miles singing and sharing Christ.

In the Marine Corps I led a youth group at the base Chapel in Guantanamo Bay Cuba and would frequently be invited to speak at the base Chapel.

I experienced God’s call to ministry and served at the following places:
As minster of Youth at Wildwood Baptist Church (Bethesday MD.)
As minister of Music and Youth at Potomac Baptist (Sterling VA)
As Senior Pastor of 1st Baptist Mt. Rainier,MD
As Senior Pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist, Washington, D.C.
As Founding and Senior Pastor of Tysons Community Church, Tysons Corner

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Having to live my faith as a Marine drove me into the scriptures.

Learning to share my faith through Evangelism Explosion and being discipled by a Pastor in my Seminary Days

Serving on Capitol Hill caused me to come to understand what God wanted me to do in training and influencing leaders.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Going through three violent life and death experiences during a 28 month period of time in my 15 – 17 years of life caused me to have to do some very difficult recovery work.

Serving two churches in which there was no vision and no commitment that caused me to dig deep to discover how to avoid making those kinds of commitments that are unlikely be productive.

When planting a church I failed to understand the need to stay in my lane and use my best gifts and did not understand that I needed to find others to do the things that I did not do well.
