S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you G for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Teaching (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I honestly like one on one teaching or small group because I think it is more affective. But I don’t know if I actually have this gift.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (59%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
When someone is down, I try to say something to them that is encouraging and shifts their focus back to positivity because I know if someone else believes in you then it is easier to believe in yourself.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (59%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’m not always the best at this, so I don’t know why it gave me this one, lol.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to workout and make personal goals for my future and work hard to reach them. I really love the process of working hard for something you love.

2. I like to give others advice based off of the Bible and my own experiences, especially when they are going through something similar, because I know I can help if they will be open to it.

3. I love to joke around with friends and people in general because laughter is the best medicine for the soul besides God.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I honestly like working by myself a lot because I can get things done faster and/or more detailed, but I like training others in fitness and health, regardless of age because it will benefit them.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I enjoyed serving the homeless at Impact last year. My heart goes out to those with very little because I am so blessed.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I accepted God when I was 4 but obviously that doesn’t really count, so I would say I first really felt God my freshman year of high school.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have served for meal on Wheels in Beaverton, serving food to elderly people or disabled. My 7th and 8th grade summers.

I served at my church in the nursery and greeting at the door in Beaverton, my 7th grade and 8th grade and freshman year of Highschool.

I served at Impact my freshman and junior year at our school.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Serving at Impact, because I got to meet people who had nothing but were still grateful for anything they could get.

Winema, the worship there was great and I could feel God’s presence.

Quarantine, because I was able to spend more time with God because of more free time.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Struggling with anxiety in the past has helped me be more compassionate to those that struggle with it.

Family issues have helped me grow stronger in relying on God.

Issues with friends have helped me put up healthy boundaries.
