[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to spend time with my friends and family. I enjoy lending them a hand when in need and making them smile.

2. I find pleasure in a good days work and seeing the end result. Completing a task that someone else may turn away from or think is impossible.

3. I find great joy in exploring nature. I love to discover natural beauty and marvel in how God created each little aspect down to the smallest detail.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with people from older generations. They tend to have stories of getting by or completing tasks with much less. I also value there knowledge and experience.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Youth Ministry is a big concern of mine. As I see the world changing even in my short time so far, and knowing the struggles people face each day, it worries me to hear that fewer people are turning to the Lord. I find it very important that those younger than me know who to turn to and that God is with them no matter what.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

When I was little we always went to church as a family. As I got older, around high school I began going less and less. After I got out of school I became one of those people that only show up on Christmas and Easter. As I grew further from my faith, I don’t know if more challenges came up or it just seemed that way because I didn’t know who to turn to. One day after one of these challenges my fiancee and I agreed that we need to return to the church. Ever since then my faith has grown to new levels.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Going to christian music concerts and volunteering with my mom.

Getting involved in Cowboy Action Shooting with my Grandpa, and growing closer to him.

Spending my summers as a kid at Camp Luther, a lutheran summer camp.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Getting picked on as a younger kid and knowing others who have been picked on.

Losing multiple friends at a young age.

Knowing people that have needed rehab or treatment for addiction.
