Thank you Angela Wilson for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. children of all ages.. even teenagers and pre-teens bring me the most joy. I love to sit with them, play with them, listen to them, and talk to them.

2. hospitality and caregiving are the two things that make me fulfilled. I enjoy getting the very most out of time together with someone and feeding them, or making food for them.

3. Gift giving makes me happy. I love to shower people with the feeling of being derserving and enough.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Children of all ages is what bring me the most joy, currently middle school is my favorite. I don’t mind adults, but I process things so differently than most adults and i feel like I’m misunderstood or hard for them to relate to.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Mission trips for the youth excite me and wish there were more for them.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Raised in church my whole life, I’ve always known Jesus and believed that He died for my sins. It wasn’t until my adult life (mid 20s) when salvation hit me one day. That day I had my “wreck” with God. Everything that I had heard before in sermons, the way I was carelessly living my life (drinking on weekends, wrong group of friends), and the feelings of overwhelming desires for wanting to live for God all came together at one time. In that instant, it was that moment, that the old me died. I felt so sad for not living for Him sooner, but so happy because I knew that I knew there was no going back. A weight had been lifted and I could literally see clearer.. everything was in perspective. Right from wrong was incredibly distinct. I knew that my sins were forgiven and that I wanted to obey Him the best way I knew how. I looked forward to the next sermon at church. I took notes, and sometimes I even stayed for two sermons. Ever since that “new birth”, I’ve gotten into the Word, shared my story, and try to live for Him. The Holy Spirit is alive in me and has been since that day I had my “wreck”. God spoke to me that day, and I listened with different ears.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Long Hollow Baptist Church, Hendersonville/Tennessee, volunteer/leader for middle school girls, 2 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Purchasing my home in 2010 at age 24 years old.

Going back to school at age 30.

Both of my children.. my gift is motherhood. daughter (11 yrs) and son (3yrs)

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Terrible relationship in my late teens, early 20s.. I wasn’t sure that I would make it out alive.

Pregnancies without a partner was emotionally hard.

Losing my job unexpectedly when I was 5 months pregnant.. no severance and no warning and not much money saved.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. I would own a home for children. Any child who couldn’t be taken care of for any reason (at their home). I would bring them all in and provide happiness and comfort with a love like Jesus. I would teach them that we have a Father who will never leave us or forsake us. And we will walk with Him.

4. I would have my own school for all age children. It would be a Christian school that we make time to learn the Word, have quiet time, pray at least 3 times (at arrival/morning, before lunch, and before dismissal). The kids would have chances to sing and dance for the Lord, as well as, learn math, science, ect.

5. I would help women who are abusive relationships find themselves in Christ. I would help them learn that they are not alone and that they are worthy.
