S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Aaron Hancock for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love working because it provides me the opportunity to give to those around me. I take incredible joy in being able to give knowing I will never be repaid. I am setting my finances in order now so that I can give freely and in much greater abundance.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a desire to communicate my past failures to those going through stages I have already been through, high school, college, sex, drugs, etc. I want to be able to help the younger folks be able to learn from my mistakes and sins rather than them falling into the same traps that snared me for years. I want to teach them about Jesus’ love rather than “do this, do that”
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I can do anything that is needed, any way I can help someone, I take joy in doing so. Whether it is something mundane or physically exhausting, if I can help another, I will.
[H]eart
1. I really like being around people, I am an extroverted introvert, I need my alone time after a large gathering and need to recoup, however, I love being around large groups of friends and getting to meet/know people.
2. Sports are always a fun time for me, whether it is a very competitive atmosphere or if its more of a free for all where no one cares about the outcome. I truly enjoy playing sports and being on a team with people.
3. I really enjoy singing worship music, though I am a tone deaf singer, I love shouting praise and having music going all the time.
Middle School or High school aged kids. I am 22 right now and can connect with their experience as I went through it all not long ago, I did about everything we are told not to do because I hurt and didn’t know Jesus, I want to be able to help someone not get through the tough times but thrive and be made stronger.
Younger kids, middle school/high school. I wasn’t connected to St. Mark much during those days and needed to be. I was incredibly lost, putting on a façade and in pain every day. It kills me to think there are kids now feeling that same way, not knowing the love and peace that comes from God. It is tears me up and if I can be that lifeline for someone, I want to be.
Marriage/family issues
Financial stewardship
At-risk children
[A]bilities
I am on an rotational program with Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis. I will be in Operations Management as well as Engineering and Supply Chain functions.
I worked in Finance for a few internships and ran my own painting business as well.
I love public speaking, and I don’t put on a show in the sense that what you see is what you get. I have no problem talking about my past failures and sins because it is a way to show what God has done, and to glorify him. I am very “insane” about finances and love talking to people about it, their goals, how to get there, and sharing my understanding of how they can try to attain there desired state.
I have not taught a class or seminar but would love to try and communicate personal finance and its importance to others.
That I have been forgiven and have a desire to love others well.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
I was completely lost, caught up in drinking, sex, and the “normal” party/college kid. My mom sat me down and flat out said she didn’t like the person I had become and I needed to look in the mirror. For a few months, my walls shattered and I was finally able to be built up with firm foundation in Christ.
Not Applicable
My roommates in college and I came to Christ around the same time and we were all able to encourage and teach one another, it was a complete 180 from where we started college at.
Cutting out sex from my life and deciding that I need God to fulfill me rather than another person, though I still struggle and fall at times, I know I will never go back to pursuing that idol.
Being able to decide to become baptized that also prompted my little brother to be baptized. Now my dad is planning on being baptized, being able to see that my decision has helped bring two others closer to Jesus is huge.
I was in a long-term relationship throughout high school and my identity was based around that person. We had sex and my heart aches every day because of it and I know God forgives but I still have to endure consequences. I have yet to fully get through the pain and am not quite sure I have overcome that past relationship- probably not- but I know that if I can communicate to another person how to be in a God honoring relationship, they can avoid my downfalls and escape the hurt I have.
I went to college and hurt a lot, I felt unappreciated and like I needed to fit in. I started drinking heavily not only to fit in but to feel comfortable in my own skin. Alcohol isn’t a sin but how I used it was. I want to be able to show someone that Jesus provides peace and acceptance, not the illusion alcohol gives.
I wore a façade for years, in middle school my best friends abandoned me and I have been hard pressed to trust those I call my “friends” I have battled with fear of being left again but I learned that Jesus always has me and one day I will completely beat the enemy and no longer fear being without friends/family.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. I would start a self-sustaining nonprofit that will give families in need the ability to provide for their children as well as better themselves, learning new skills to take their life even higher.
4. I want to be a mentor and to be able to reach a large amount of teens. To share my story, failures, triumphs and to teach them about Jesus and how He is all we need and is much more than enough
5. To be a part of the worship band and be able to sing and play an instrument every Sunday
