S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Alexis Skipper for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Prophecy (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel like I have the gift of prophecy because I am a good listener and love to spread good news to others, especially if it is going to motivate them or make them a better version of themselves. In the Bible, to my understanding, the Holy Spirit have the gift of prophecy to some believers to make God’s heart known and to edify the church. Even though I don’t know a ton, I think I may have this gift because God knows I am someone that wouldn’t shy away from telling good news and His word.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (59%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel like I have the gift of evangelism because I am a clear communicator. I explain things in terms in ways others can relate and connect. I am aware of peoples emotions. I think God gifted me this spiritual gift because He knew as I learned/will learn His world, I would/will be able to reach out and tell those and lead those who are believers and those who are not believers without any judgement.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (59%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel like I have the gift of mercy showing because I am able to empathize with others with compassion, words, and actions. I am most always willing to help other and motivate them. I am known as a “caregiver”. I think that is why I will love being a nurse so much. I would like to learn more so I can spiritually care for others as well.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to spend time with my fiance and family.

2. I love to motivate and help others.

3. I love being successful.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I work well with all ages but I love working with babies and children the most!

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I am most concerned that churches are going to steer away from biblical teachings to satisfy the current world views. As someone who truly wants to know who God is, this is somewhat concerning to me as I do not want to be misled.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Well I haven’t been baptized yet… but I would say I started really becoming interested in learning about Jesus Christ and going to church on a more regular basis my Sophomore year of college. I was home sick and felt lost in some of the adult decisions that I needed to make for myself rather than always looking for advice elsewhere. I started looking for Christian groups to become a part of at the College. I found a wonderful group of Christians through Campus Outreach and started attending church on a more regular basis and going to individual and group bible studies. It was within in that time that I truly found myself longing to know more about Jesus Christ. There is still so much more I want to know, and I want to be able to one day share more about Him to others. However, everyone has to start some where! So this is me taking that step and proclaiming a church as my home.

I did go to church and Sunday school here and there growing up, but just never went on a full time basis.
