#1 Gift, Giving (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
My sister knew it! Haha, she had a feeling that my spiritual gift was giving. I think it is not just because I give good gifts… haha, but because I am very financially focused so that one day I can give above a tithe. Give first, Save, Spend – a great motto to live by.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am very positive and optimistic and try to live with that mindset throughout every day. My boyfriend of two years does not share the same religion that I do, so I try my best to be a light and positive influence and encouragement whenever there is negativity in our relationship. I feel so much better to lift others up and help others when they are having difficulties professionally or with other relationships.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
God is a forgiving God so I try to always show forgiveness to others. Plus life is too short to hold grudges.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised and baptized Lutheran. My parents thought it was important for my sister and me to be very active in the church up through high school. In college, I began going to a non-denominational church with a friend and started getting involved in Intervarsity. In going to a non-denominational church I felt way more spiritually fulfilled than going to a Lutheran church. This was largely due to worship and how close I feel to God and the Holy Spirit. I was looking for this style of worship when I moved to Champaign after college and that is what led me to Vinyard.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Graduating from college with an engineering degree

Switching to a non-denominational church to bring me closer to God, making me actually want to go to church.

Finding the Dave Ramsey Show podcast teaching me about personal finance and how this impacts my spiritual walk

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My experience with mental health issues – anxiety and depression causing me to drop out of college for a semester to think about my future
