S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Amber Addis for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to serve others. Even in my professional career as a nurse, I loved my job, doing everything I could to serve those experiencing health issues. Now as a mom and wife, I have the opportunity to serve my family. Anytime I hear of a need outside my home whether it be, someone needs a meal or someone to watch their little one, I always jump at the opportunity to serve others.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I was surprised this ended up in my top three. Even if this is truly one of my gifts, I will admit, I do not get as excited about this one compared to the other two. However, I do enjoy teaching those close to me like a family member or close friend. I did participate in many ‘teaching’ roles in college and received positive feedback from both supervisors and students.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have always, for as long as I can remember, had a passion inside of me to share with others, what Jesus has done for me.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as my Savior when I was around seven years old at Vacation Bible School at my church. I believe I was thirteen years old when I felt like I made my faith my own and made the decision to be baptized.
I’ve served in my church nurseries on and off, since I was a teenager. I participated in a youth missions trip in high school to serve at Camp Barnabas, a place for children with special needs to attend summer camp. I also served as a counselor’s assistant for a week at a traditional summer camp. My husband and I have led a 5th grade small group at our church’s VBS for the past three years.
My church’s college group
My premarital counseling and the relationship that I still have with my mentors.
My relationship with my youth pastor and his wife when I was in highschool going through some stressful times.
My parent’s divorce
Having an eating disorder in college and the resulting health issues it caused.
Lost close friendships due to parents’ divorce.
