Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I came to know the Lord at the age of seven after being in church my whole life. I have continued to grow since then in my knowledge and experience of what it looks like to accept the free gift of salvation and be patient in the process of sanctification.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Calvary Chapel, Jonesboro/AR, nursery volunteer, 7 years (as a teenager)

Harvest Church, Memphis/TN, nursery volunteer & kitchen volunteer, 1 year

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I got to spend time working as a nanny for the same family for 9 years. The mom became a mentor to me and the girls in the family still feel like sisters.

I spent a year overseas in Africa after graduating college. I loved learning about the culture and getting to spend the majority of my time doing ministry.

I had the opportunity to work for a non-profit that worked to care for orphans and gave adoption grants. I was exposed to systems that I had never known and was able to work alongside adoptive families.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I had to have major surgery as a 13 yr old. I have been in chronic pain since that time and was no longer able to participate in my usual activitites.

I worked as a nanny for 9 years for a couple going through separation and eventually divorce.

I have walked closely with a friend who’s husband was unfaithful. I have learned a lot about what the Bible says about marriage and have learned by watching them in the reconciliation process.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Meet regularly with women to study the Bible

4. Host a gathering in my home to bring women together to discuss the Bible and our questions

5. Raise awareness for children waiting to be adopted out of foster care
