S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Amy Grace Cooper for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
When I was 5 years old I remember feeling guilty about sin and needing Jesus, my savior. My parents are both in the ministry so by this age my understanding of the gospel was firm. My dad taught me scripture and my mom sang hymns and songs. They also used my adoption to teach how God adopts us into his family. I knew I loved Jesus and needed him to save me from my sin. Later my dad baptized me and I’ve been on the faith journey ever since 1989!

Being adopted and sharing my story through the book, “The Thread” to minister to families walking through adoption and to glorify God. Psalm 3:3
Growing up and being discipled in a godly home. My parents walked out their faith in front of me. They love Jesus, serve others and set a kingdom example. They taught me that there is power in the name of Jesus! Hebrews 12:5-6
In school, godly teachers surrounded me and inspired me to become a teacher so God could use me to make a difference. Daniel 1:17
Being hospitalized for 22 days helped me rely on God alone. It also gave me great compassion for those with special needs. Lamentations 3:22-23
Unsealing my adoption records brought heartache and compassion. It is bittersweet to read about my birth mom. My heart is tender towards adoption from both sides. God literally plucked me out, showered me with grace and favor. Esther 4:4
After my first year teaching all new teachers were let go because of a reduction in force. Trusting God had a perfect plan helped me persevere through the tough times.
