#1 Gift, Serving (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Being part of the Community everyone should be serving in Church, there community, family, work this is part of being an active adult. I expected this number to be high.

#2 Gift, Mercy Showing (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
This is what God wants from us. We are to show Mercy and love to one another. He gave his only son to forgive us of our sins so we need to show Mercy and forgiveness and help others to do the same. I feel for the troubles people go through and I don’t know what put them on the path that may have lead them in the wrong direction but maybe I can help them even if it is for a brief moment in time.

#3 Gift, Administration (62%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am not sure why I have this gift, maybe it is because of my work ethics, my inability to not say n. In my careers I have been told I have an attention to detail so this maybe what accounts to it.

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. My family, as my children have grown to adults and moved into their own homes anytime I get to spend with all of them is precious to me.

2. When my husband talks to me about Church or attends with me, it is small steps but I feel that he is making progress so we can enjoy this journey together.

3. Human kindness

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I have the most amazing job, I get to work with people from 18 – 78 years old and no matter what age group they are in each has value in the work force. I am lucky enough that I get to experience what I am in and do.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Current situation and people leaving church. That so many people are upset with God as family members are passing to COVID and they are leaving church instead of turning to it.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was pregnant with first child and my Mom was pregnant in her new marriage with twins, unfortunately my Mom had to have a twin transfusion and the surgery was not successful for a number of reasons the babies died of heart attacks in the womb, that same night they passed I was driving to a friends and I was being detoured by PD because of an accident as I looked over I watched as the officer was putting a white drape over my Great Grandmother and her sister my Great aunt who here both hit by a red light runner who was only 14 and behind the wheel. At this time in my life I was not a believer in God all of this going on and my parents had just went through a nasty divorce after 18years of marriage, my Mom remarried one day after her divorce was final, and was pregnant two months later. Not only did I not believe in God but I would say if their was a God how could he allow all of this to happen, I lost my job because I was pregnant, I had to move back in with my Mom, I was going to be a single Mom, if God wanted to take babies away he should have taken mine, if he needed people why didn’t he let the 14 year old die instead of my Grandma. Here is the day I became a Christian, the day I had my son my parents were standing at the end of my bed not fighting, not threating each other, smiling at each other and my mom looked at my dad and said do you want to hold your Grandson? This is why God needed me to keep my son so my parents could have a reason to be adults again.
A couple years later I learned forgiveness through God when at work in the jails and I had to help a girl and hear her story, the Story of a 14 year old girl (now she is 17) who was driving a car and ran a red light and hit two woman that died and she had to live with that for the rest of her life. That poor girl had no idea as she was telling me this story that she was looking at the oldest Great Grandchild of the woman she had hit.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I was Blessed to the Church, It was a Baptist Church in Phoenix AZ off 27th ave north of Van Buren and has changed ownership. This church was cared for by my family so we all had responsibilities of cleaning, mowing, painting, and upkeep. After my Great Grandparents passed away their house was sold and the church was sold off with it as it was on their property and my family stopped attending.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Walking into Mission Church

Family, Everything I do is to be a role model for my family. My Grandfather who passed away 23 years ago was my everything and all I wanted to do was make him proud so I want my time here to mean something.

When I was pregnant in 1998 the doctors gave me medicine on accident that could have made me lose my child. at 4 months along I almost miscarried him and I was bed ridden I had friends come over to cook and clean and I was uncomfortable about that. Because of this I always try to prepare people I work and live with to have plans for emergencies.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

In 2000 my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, I also just had my third son, celebrated my oldest fifth birthday, and was the proud mom of a bonus son (we do not say step in our house) I was sitting on the couch crying as my son with diabetes was having another melt down as we were checking his finger late at night and he wanted to sleep by the high blood sugars caused him to wet the bed and we were trying to clean all of that up when a commercial came on for kids with cancer and they were asking for donations. I sat and listen to their stories and cried with the commercials but knew I couldn’t help with all of our bills pilling up from the recent hospital stay from our son and then as I looked at my precious son I realized other parents have it worse, I still have my baby and when you look at him you can’t see his disease. from that night on I swore I would never feel sorry for us. I also learned you can give in other ways so I donated my hair to cancer patients. So I tell people now have that pitty party and then once you grieve you have to step up for your child because no one else will.

Me being diagnosed with my medical conditions. I went again in a slump and Doctors wanted to put me on Disability, I had one Doctor order me a wheel chair five years ago and was ready for me to throw in the towel. I wasn’t ready for that. I am going to keep fighting and keep going until the day my body says no more. God and prayer works stronger. What helped me from doing this was making a turn into a school parking lot when I saw a sign for Mission Church one Sunday morning, I was suppose to run to the store but something said go here they don’t care how your dressed and I am happy I made that decision that day.

I have so many more that God has helped me through:
Financial
Marriage
Death of my Grandfather
Not on good terms with my Dad
Work
