S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Angee for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Giving (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I was taught at a young age to give to God first, off the top of whatever money I earn and to never make excuses not to. God has entrusted my husband and I with earnings that we faithfully give whenever we feel led by the Spirit.

#2 Gift, Prophecy (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’m a bit hardcore when it comes to the truth of God’s word. It’s pretty simple really, and I believe that as a true follower of Christ, in standing up for the Bible. Excuses for sin are just excuses. I want to live as a whole hearted follower of Jesus Christ.

#3 Gift, Serving (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I was raised to be a hard worker. I have been on multiple mission trips and nothing is beneath me. I will serve in whatever way I am instructed. I do not need to be the one in charge. I actually like being told what to do, and then do it.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to be creative. Whether in crafting, cooking, decorating, or playing my piano.

2. I love to travel with my family.

3. I love to be outside and go on walks with my dog. I often pray or sing when doing so.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with people musically, who are totally in. People who want to work on a song, etc. until it is done really well. People who will practice and put the time in.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I don’t get very excited about anything church related these days. In fact, I find it rather boring. I would love to see a group of people who wanted to be discipled with the truth of God’s word, and then teach others the same thing.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Accepted Christ when I was 5 years old. Led by my mom, who took us kids to church faithfully, even though my father never attended and was verbally abusive. Grew up with a very solid faith that has kept me from a lot of troubles.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Many mission trips all over the world.

Worship leading for around 30 years. I started in youth group.

Intern youth pastor at Edmonds Church of God. Work with youth groups for many years.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Mission trips have impacted me greatly. Anytime I can pack a suitcase, I am gone. I love traveling, seeing God’s incredible world, and helping his people, and the suffering.

Just God’s word changing me over the years and making me more like him. Wanting to share Christ’s forgiveness with those living in sin, in a non judgemental way. Just wanting to see people set free!

Seeing how God has used the ugliest parts of my life (Brian’s accident and my insomnia), and making them beautiful. And using them to lead people to Christ.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Brian’s accident

My insomnia

My mom’s mental illness
