S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Anita Woods for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I grew up in the Catholic Church where I learned a deep respect for God. I became very rebellious as a young adult. When I was 28, a friend invited me to church where I heard the gospel very clearly and saw myself as a sinner in need of a savior.
I gave my life to Jesus. I have never been the same. 🙂
I served as a children’s leader for 13 years for Bible Study Fellowship in California, Colorado, Illinois and Texas.
I worked in Vacation Bible school for years when my children were young. I served from everything from teaching, Craft leader to VBS director. (Fremont, California)
I was the head mentor mom for MOPS in San Jose, California for a few years. My job was to encourage young moms and do an occasional devotion.
Moving a lot helped me to lean on God and not homes, churches or friends.
I grew up in a big family with 5 siblings. We are all very close (and most of us are Christians) and have been a huge support to one another through life.
My three beautiful children have been such a joy to me! I learned so much about the love of God, our Father from being a parent myself.
After 33 years of marriage, I am divorced. It gives me such a heart for women who have gone through a divorce.
Moving a lot was also a negative experience. It was difficult leaving my church and friends that I loved.
I have a grown daughter who is gay. It gives me great compassion for any Christian parent that has a gay child.
