Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Visiting with others and making them feel special by encouraging them.

2. I LOVE to cook and bake and am so happy when people respond by liking it.

3. Being a Stephens Minister.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with children and with the elderly as they both seem to respond so well to encouragement and acts of love and kindness!

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Our church finances concern me the most. I am very concerned about the number of people attending church on a continuous basis also. We need to bring new members in quickly or I fear we won’t have a church a year from now!

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I don’t remember a time when I didn’t believe in God and Jesus as my Lord and Savior. My Dad dropped dead unexpectedly a month before I was three years old and my Mom kept explaining Jesus to us and how if we believed, we would see our Dad again some day. My mother had an extremely strong relationship with God and encouraged my brothers and I along the way by her example.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, North Dakota, growing up. Was in charge of finances as a teenager for the teen group at church.

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Tampa

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tampa. I assisted pastors Bob and Jennifer Schaeffer with communion.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I joined COTR after experiencing Fr. Kevin’s dedication to his parishioners and how serious he takes his job as our shepherd.

I became a Stephens Minister as I had a great experience with my Stephens minister at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

I have a sense that I am still here on earth as God wants me to be helping other people.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being so sick my entire life has given me great passion for others that are ill.

Going through a divorce as feeling unloved helped me to try and show love and compassion to others as we never truly know what another person is going through.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. to have enough money to give to others to make life easier for them!

4. make every one feel as loved as I do.

5. have more time to help others and not have to worry about how I’m going to pay for my next prescription.
