S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Austin Daniel for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Giving (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am not surprised by this at all. It’s only funny how God turned things around; I used to be stingy and very self-centered but through a series of events in my life, I’m changed. Now, I give whenever I know there is a need, either to the church, a friend or a complete stranger…and most times it’s sacrificially. Truthfully, it’s not always easy and it doesn’t always make sense to me but I still do it cheerfully – there’s just this joy that comes after I give even if it’s my last penny. I just don’t like seeing people in need and having nowhere to turn. Since I am God’s hand on earth, I just give. I know I’m still learning to trust God through giving but I am far from where I used to be. I can go on and on, so let me just stop here.

#2 Gift, Teaching (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like to share the gospel. It makes me happy when someone is encouraged by what I share. And lately, a lot of people have been telling me I have the gift of teaching, usually as a word of knowledge and I also feel God wants me to start sharing what I know, especially in the area of FAITH. Just like with giving, I have been through a lot and all I could live on was faith, so I studied and learned a lot about living in faith. Also, like with giving, I am definitely not perfect but I’m still on the journey

#3 Gift, Administration (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am an analytical and strategic person. I like to hear and work on new ideas because I love to think strategically. I also like things being in order; I’m never comfortable in messy spaces. Back in grad school, some classmates referred to me as a visionary and I never understood why they said it but I have also received the same as word of knowledge from different people. This is like the hardest of the gifts for me to explain but I know it is true; I just don’t have the words to explain it.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Give to those or places in need. I hope one day to have a non-profit aimed at giving hope to the hopeless through skill/financial empowerment

2. Hearing and working on new ideas because it makes me use my brain and think! I have been involved in two startup ideas already in grad school. The entrepreneurial landscape excites me. Maybe because I want to be a millionaire before 30…like Happy 🙂

PS: Still 2 years to go. God can do the impossible LOL

3. I love to make people happy by encouraging them. I just don’t like seeing people downcast; it makes me happy when I meet a sad person and leave them happy. It’s like oil to my soul (not sure that makes any sense)

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I have no preference, especially for age. I believe everyone has their experiences and have something to offer. Just be able to work seamless in a team when required. If there is one important characteristics though, it is I love working with happy people.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I don’t know how to say this without sounding a bit judgemental, but I don’t like when church leaders are full of themselves. Like when they don’t listen to those below them like their words are “yes and amen.” One other thing which bothers me is when christians consciously and consistently do not honor God – they come to church but willlingly sin and are proud to talk about it.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Born in a Christian home but was only a Christian because I was afraid of God. Somehow I ended up in a Christian University for undergrad and it was obvious the Chancellor’s Jesus/God was different from the One I knew, I liked his own Jesus, so I gave my life to Christ. It may be funny but I believe I gave my life to Christ because of the fear of going to hell. Loving God came after

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

The Vineyard Church | Urbana, IL | ALIVE Set-up Team & Kingdom Kids | 2017-Present

Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC) | Lagos State, Nigeria | Venue Manager (cleaned and prepared chapel for services and events) & Dept Treasurer | 2012-2013

Covenant University Chapel | Ogun State, Nigeria | Sanctuary Keeper (cleaned and prepared chapel for services) | 2008-2011

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Having an awesome family. My parents were fantastic; they may not have been able to buy me a Maserati but they always provided – above and beyond. I also have a great relationship with my siblings. To a large extent, it has shaped who I am today because I have been shielded from all the family hurt that I may have had to carry around and dump on others

Times when God has shown up and provided when I saw no way out. An example was during the Fall of 2016 when I had no money to buy a winter jacket. I prayed and asked God for a sign that He heard me. He did not only provide a sign, He created a wonder – same day, I got not one or two but 7 jackets (9 actually, I gave away 2) and extra shirts, pants, etc. It would always remind me that God can make make streams in the deserts and change the way I see impossible situations

School of Kingdom Ministry! About 4 years ago, I fasted and prayed for the gifts of healing and word of knowledge to no avail, though I felt God telling me to just love people. Then I miraculously encountered SoKM, signed up like a day before classes begun and my life is forever changed – I know it was not a coincidence. Now, I understand why God wanted me to just love on people (at least I think I understand).

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I mentioned earlier that I was far away from the giver I am today, this is essentially because I have been broke for a long time in my life. Even coming for grad school, I didn’t have the money. So, I have experienced a whole lot of “brokeness,” so I’m drawn to those in need.

I have always been one of the smart ones in class but life after school has not always been fun, in terms of getting a great job – it either pays little or I just work and don’t get paid (it honestly feels the same again even after grad school). Anyway, in all these I have learned to build my faith, learn to let go of control, develop greater patience and keep loving others…all somewhat difficult. But it makes me have compassion towards those going through difficult times where I otherwise would not if my life had happened how I would have hoped

I have had to deal with a lot of comparisons in my life. This is essentially based on the lengthy period of being broke or not having the kind of job I desired. And I have had to constantly remind myself that I came to this world alone and that I am the child of the King of Kings. So I easily identify when people belittle themselves or feel insufficient because they are comparing their situation with others, and I move to tell them the truth of who they really are. I usually start by building a relationship of trust with them

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Found/Join a startup and build a multi-million/billion dollar company from the ground up
