Thank you April Manse for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I was from a child abused and raised in a cycle of violence, abuse, drugs/alcohol. I never was given a chance to know or grow a relationship with God. As i got older my life got more and more out of control in all areas which led me to jail and the drug court intervention program. I started to change my life and surrendered to God about 4 years ago and im proud to say that I’m a changed child of God. I love the relationship I have now with him and how it’s growing. God saved my life!! I just remember the day i was arrested last, i dropped to my knees in the pouring rain screaming at God to just kill me or let me kill myself so I didn’t have to live the horrible life i was living anymore and i swear 5 mins later the cops pulled up on me and arrested me because i had a warrant out for myself. God wasnt done with me yet and today im so grateful for that experience.

Meeting a angel named Julie in my dc program that helped me grow in my relationship with God.
Meeting my husband and his family who loves me unconditionally and helped me along the way.
Helping my mom to come to Christ and showing her how good God is and how life can be so different with God and faith.
My addiction
Being abused sexually, mentally, and physically
Growing up like i did as child, I dont want other children to ever feel like they dont have a voice or no one to turn too.
