This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel very deeply that it is my purpose to share the love of God with others. I have a strong desire for everyone to hear about the Lord and choose Him. I know I can’t save the world, but I do want God to use me to further His kingdom.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am a pretty sensitive person who feels, loves, laughs and hurts deeply. Meaning that when I have an emotion, it is generally very deep and intense. When I see others in a situation that is causing them pain, I mourn with them. When I see people rejoicing I rejoice with them. When I encourage people, however, I try to be practical in the way I do it. I will come up with ways to help them think positively and most importantly, truthfully so that they can think straight and get back up again. This is something that I have learned from the compassion that Jesus had for others.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am a loud, outgoing person who gets energized by people. I am also a good organizer. I like to lead things, but have seen times in the past when the Lord has called me to be in the background so as to humble myself and remember who truly is in control. With that being said, I am usually pretty good at taking leadership roles.

1. Playing my guitar, singing, anything that has to do with music.
2. Being with people, doesn’t matter what we’re doing as long as the people I love are there I will fully enjoy it.
3. Any activity that involves me being physically active (sports, working out, group games)
Kids of all cultures whether they be my own or not. I love little kids, but I think when I have formed a strong connection it is with kids about the age of 11-13. I also connect well with elderly.
I have a strong desire to go to the places people do not generally want to go. Places in the city to meet people of differing beliefs than I. To go deep in conversation about concepts that do not generally get discussed. And to do this with the intent to strengthen why I might believe something or challenge why I believe it and in turn fortify myself with Biblical truth. When in conversation with people, asking them questions to better understand them and why they believe what they do. I really want to apply the Bible to those conversations and think about what the Bible actually says about those concepts. Rather than ostracize people with lifestyles we might not agree with just because we don’t think they’re good practice, conversing with those people. I really struggle with a legalistic view or application to the way we live our lives. Meaning I have in the past had a very legalistic opinion that has led to me placing stereotypes in my mind on certain “kinds of people”. I have started asking questions and challenging why I have a certain opinion about people with lifestyles that I have not agreed with in the past. It’s not my place to judge them but love them. I think if we conversed with people we might disagree with and engaged them to understand them we might learn something. Not that they would sway us from the Bible, but rather bring us closer to the Lord because we have fortified why we might believe something or maybe have felt challenged with our beliefs. But all this with the full intent to first and foremost apply what the Bible actually says instead of just “how I might feel”. And in turn, these conversations would hopefully lead to a new relationship. And hopefully cause them to challenge their ways or ask questions about my beliefs so I can share the Gospel with them.

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. I grew up in a Christian home and accepted the Lord Jesus into my heart at the age of 4. However, it wasn’t until around sophomore year of college that I really started to challenge the things I believe and further solidify my faith that Jesus is the King.
Bridgepoint Bible Church, Houston TX, youth worship leader (5 years), worked in the nursery (1 year)
The people God put in my church have lead and shaped who I am today. Challenging me, teaching me, and loving me through camps, youth group activities, and small group discussions.
Having the opportunity to lead worship for so many years taught me how to be a leader and serve.
Moving to Houston from Tennessee has positively impacted my walk with Christ. I would never have met the people I did who have led me in my walk with the Lord.
A break up between freshman and sophomore year of college forced me to truly lean on the Lord. When other people go through break ups, I can now understand what pain they may be feeling and what might help them to keep moving. I was able to help one of my friends through a break up and help her lean on God through it.
I went a lot of middle school feeling excluded from groups, or trying hard to fit in. I was never bullied, but I felt as though I was constantly fighting to fit in and be friends with people. God gave me a very sensitive spirit to things that may hurt someone (words that are said, faces or comments made by others, etc). This has been a theme in my life of feeling more sensitive to others’ comments, but also being able to notice when others may be hurting. This has allowed me to minister to those that are afflicted by being excluded (intentionally/unintentionally) from the group or hurt by others’ words.
Going from leading worship in every setting to not really leading worship in college was a very humbling experience for me. In a way it feels negative, but I have seen how God has used it for good in my life. So that I can focus on Him when I worship and not messing up. It has been good for how I talk to others about worship and realizing that worship does not only come from music.
