[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Create something beautiful -maybe a craft or digital pic or decorating or yard work or organizing or draw (rarely)

2. contemplate- like to learn new concepts or ideas or thoughts and just sit and consider them

3. have all my loves and friends over my house or go somewhere together

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I like people with work ethic who show up ready to work. I like people who are open and share their hearts. I like ideas and have an insatiable curiosity, but I prefer practical application vs theoretical or form just for the sake of form. I prefer rebels and leaders over sheep. I am accustomed to working with men and women of all ages. I gravitate to multicultural and multigenerational groups.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I’m kind of tired and overextended so not excited about many church based ministries right now. I am working on a podcast for women seeking guidance from the self help world and pointing them to the Bible as the source of wisdom for every day life.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Went to church as a young person, had a rough upbringing. Got married at 18 had my first child at 20. fell away because I felt God violated our bargain that I’d had my quota of tough life experiences. I thought if I was affected by only my choices it was going to be better. My sons developmental delay and autism wasn’t part of the deal. Tried to find hope elsewhere, when my grandmother had a near fatal heart attack, in desperation I turned to Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Youth leader at Augsburg Lutheran Augsburg arkansas 1997-1998
Childrens ministry women’s ministry Lifestone church Russellville at 2012-2017
Children’s ministry at fellowship 2018-2020

Personnel committee at east side Baptist in fort smith AR 2003-2005? Short term mission to Ukraine teaching English 2004 with east side 2004, choir and children’s ministry

Treasurer at fair park baptist Russellville ar 2009-2011?, VBS Teacher

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Feeling truly valued and delighted in as a person and not an object by my husband

It was my persistent childhood fantasy that If I could just graduate college my life would be better. I learned so much determination and that being challenged was actually kind of fun. I learned to put myself out there rather than a miserable wallflower. I was the first member of my extended family to graduate college with a bachelors degree.

We had some money saved and I wanted to go on a trip to Ireland. I was so anxious about the itinerary and the money. It was a dream come true and it helped me see that anything is possible

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Significant financial strain and almost losing the home we were trying to sell while moving during a market bubble

Anxiety and strain of raising a child with a disability with few dependable and helpful resources

Growing up in an environment of poverty alcoholism and mental illness while having to fend for myself
