S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Bonita Nordaas for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I grew up loving God and at 8 years old I understood that I was a sinner and that Jesus died for me. At 15 I learned that God heard my prayers and loved me.
Elementary school teacher- Powderhorn Christian School Minneapolis Minnesota
4 years
Teacher and dorm mom with SIM mission in Ethiopia for 4 years
missionary (English teacher, Bible study leader, church planning, etc etc. with Lutheran Brethren Missions in Japan for 34 years
A supportive family and church as a child
Bible School training before college gave me a good base for my faith to grow
Living in other cultures opened my eyes to the great great mercy of God and allowed me to become more merciful in my thinking about others
A very legalistic church backround makes me understand where other Christians my age are coming from and why they think as they do
Having a daughter who chose to leave the faith has given me understanding of young people struggling to please parents and think on their own.
Living in a culture where even though you are loved and accepted you are always viewed as an outsider makes me open to all people on the fringes.
