Thank you Ashley Norris for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Serving (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am always happy to help when I can as long as I see that I am not being taken advantage of or used and that there is spiritual growth and a sense of God is that area. I enjoy working hard and taking some of the stress and load off people. I just want to be useful is serving God’s kingdom and I have many years of experience serving in kid’s church in capacities like this.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I know what it is like to feel lost, confused, alone, afraid, hopeless, empty, addicted, etc. I did and still do somewhat struggle with self-esteem issues and feeling worthless. I don’t want other people to feel like that. I want them to know Christ values them and they have value and purpose and are never alone (even if they try to isolate themselves from other people. I just like being a comfort and encouragement to people because I know how important that is for people having experienced encouragement and a lack of it at various points in my life.

#3 Gift, Teaching (56%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy knowledge and learning. I am naturally curious and fairly analytical. I want others to have an understanding of things about God and who he is and want he wants and what is required of us because so much truth is obscured or distorted in the world with live in by our own views, the Internet, media, experiences, etc. and we forget or don’t know how to look at them through God’s lense.

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Was born and raised in a Christian household. Accepted Christ when I was very young and always believed but did not truly start trying to follow Him of my own accord till I was about 15. Baptized at 10. Have struggled with a few things including an Internet/tech addiction since I was 15. Better now and more motivated to recovering from it now than ever before. Have served in kids church in some capacity (minus about a year and a half break) since I was 13

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Bethel Temple, Parma/Ohio, Children’s church assistant/junior leader 4 years

Journey Community Church, Fairview Park/Ohio, Children’s church servant leader 6 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Journey Youth group/Anthem and the people I met and friends I made because of going there

Starting to serve in kids church at Bethel

Celebrate Recovery/counseling

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Internet/sexual nature of my addictions

Social isolation

Diabetes

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Serving in kids church and continuing although stepping up more and maybe taking on a little bit more of a leadership role

4. Use the career God has given me to provide for my family and help others either directly at my work or indirectly through giving

5. Helping others with addictions to tech/Internet/social issues and maybe writing a book in the future about my experiences with those things
