S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Ashlie Scott for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Teaching (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I work with kids a lot so I am teaching them random things and I do answer questions to those similar in age when they want to know more about God.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am surprised but not! It takes a bit but once I am able to start sharing the Word, I am pretty good to apply it to my life or to the person I am talking to.

#3 Gift, Serving (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I loved serving in my church back home and aiding in classrooms or events for church. It makes me happy knowing I am helping do work in God’s house.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Writing! I love getting lost in creations that I make

2. Singing, whether in the car or in the shower 😛

3. Drawing, similar to writing but getting immersed in my works

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Kids are fun! I like teaching kids in 2nd and 4th. I am not too picky on ages but it is challenging with middle schoolers. Adults my age or older, I have taught sort of as well and that was interesting.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Events for those who are in college up to 30s. I never or rarely hear of outreaching events or fun events at a church for that age group. I have taken friends to events like these before and they love it and not seeing any is disappointing.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Grew up in church but not until college and going through a really rough period mixed with anxiety and depression did I realize how much I need God.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Graduating college and starting graduate school. Blessed to be achieving my dreams

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Dealing with anxiety and depression and realizing that this is something I can’t get rid of but have to find ways to help it

Losing friends for whatever reason and going through bullying from said persons about who I am and all of that. Breaks your heart and esteem

Making a lot of sacrifices big and small because I am pursuing my education I have always wanted
