Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
Started NBBC Sunday school when I got out of diapers. At approximately age 15 I realized that Christ was real and that I wanted to be a part of the Christian fellowship at NBBC.
My 70 years of Ministry Experience has all been at NBBC. It consist of: various choirs, Junior and Senior Usher Board, Women’s Fellowship, Nurses Unit, Culinary Arts Ministry, and Diaconate Ministry. I’ve chaired or been a committee member for Childrens and Women’s Day, Pastors Anniversaries and Birthday celebrations, Church anniversaries, Revival committee, Diaconate Prayer Breakfast and church picnics.
After graduating from high school, I received a scholarship from NBBC which forced me to go to college. I took the pre-nursing exam and applied to Hampton after receiving the scholarship. Makes me wonder what my life would have been like with that BS degree.
Edith Banks sang Thank You Lord at church one day and it made me think about how blessed I was.
Rev. Fauntroy had “Prove the Tithe” Sunday. I had heard of tithing for years but did not tithe. On that Sunday I accidentally paid twice the amount I should have and I’ve tithed every since.
Can’t think of anything.
