S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Barbara Major for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I became a Christian at the age of 9. My church that my family attended was having revival services during the week before Easter. I knew God spoke to me and convicted me that I needed Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior so I prayed that He would come into my life. I proclaimed by going forward on Easter morning and then was baptized that evening. I have not strayed much from that decision my whole life.
Noland Road Baptist Church in Independence MO – Children’s teacher for the 5th and 6th graders for 4 years.
Greeter at Blue Springs Christian Church
I have always participated in small groups whenever they were available at the church we were attending. They each helped me to grow and have fellowship.
Teaching grade school kids when I was younger and my children were at that age. I felt I could relate to that age of kids at the time.
My closes friends (lifetime) are friends that I have met from churches that I have been a member of.
My pregnancy with twins and the recovery. Being a parent of two babies and what all that entailed. Raising them and their strong willed personalities.
My breast cancer diagnosis. It was a very challenging time because of several troubles happened during that time. I have compassion for anyone that has gone through cancer.
My marriage was literally broken up and I had to make a decision to stay and work through the brokenness or leave. I learned to trust God even more than I ever had before. I do have a compassion for those going through spousal sexual addiction.
