[H]eart
1. Teaching and playing with little kids and reflecting to them the way God values them.
2. Being active outdoors- soaking up creation.
3. Worship and Prayer.
Children, esp 3-5 year olds.
The marginalized.
People from backgrounds and cultures different than mine.
Worship and intercessory prayer- drawing near God’s heart.
Moving people out of complacency and into the life of meaning God has called them to.
Missions. Although evangelism is not my gifting, being involved in seeing the gospel reach the ends of the earth is very important to me. This also connects with moving people out of complacency and drawing near to God’s heart, because this is His heart, and when we catch a hold of it, we cannot remain unchanged.
I also have a deep desire to love and help bring healing to hurting children.
Marriage/family issues
Spiritual laziness
At-risk children

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I began my relationship with Jesus Christ when I was only three years old during a conversation with my mom after pre-school VBS. Although I was very young I was old enough to recognize my sin and need for a Savior, which God had provided in Jesus. Ever since, Christ has been Lord of my life as well as my closest friend. He placed His Spirit in me and gave me true life- no longer a slave to sin, but a child of God. He is ever teaching me and changing my heart and desires to help me follow him and serve him. I am so thankful that He is always holding me in his hands. He has proven himself faithful over and over again in the difficulties of life. He is my strength and my help and I can fully trust Him. He is the source of all good things that flow out of my life. I owe all that I am to Him.
Missionary support in Haiti for Heartline Ministries- 4.5 years. Part of 2 different house church there as well as an international fellowship (Port-Au-Prince Fellowship). Taught pre-school class at PAP Fellowship.
Living Hope Baptist Church Bryan- 3 years. Served in children’s ministry, youth ministry, outreach ministry, worship team and prayer team. Primarily involved in developing an on-site mentoring ministry in nearby housing project during this time.
Living Hope Baptist Church College Station- 5 years. Mostly involved in youth, missions/outreach, and prayer during this time.
Doulos Leadtime Program, Westminster, CO – 1 year as “Big Sister”
Growing up in a Christian family with parents that stayed together, supported and loved us very well, and prioritized raising us in a really good church where I learned the Bible from a young age. Being spared from so much hurt that most people are not.
Working with and living in proximity to poverty and broken and hurting people- first short term missions, then inner city youth and kids here, then long term in Haiti, and then also through foster care/adoption.
Life- Many experiences of trusting God and stepping out in faith in circumstances that were difficult/scary/ didn’t make sense and seeing Him faithfully come through every time.
A messed up same-sex co-dependent relationship full of lies, abuse, and manipulation. I experienced my need for the grace of God like never before, came to really understand that anyone can end up in any sin, and saw God give me forgiveness for someone else that could only come from Him as well as rescue me and give me freedom from sin and shame.
My job as daycare director was very difficult for many reasons and I went through a period of depression during this time. It was given me great compassion and appreciation for people in leadership as well as people struggling with depression.
My year at Leadtime working with troubled teens was so very difficult. However, it gave me compassion and understanding of all kinds of issues that we walked through with the teens there, It taught me what God’s true love looks like- continuing to love and press in, in the face of rejection and hatred. It humbled me like never before, deepening my understanding of God and revealing a lot of things as gray that I had once assumed black and white. It completely changed how I relate to people.
