#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Many turn their backs on those in society that they believe to be lesser. That is NOT what Jesus did, nor is that my morale belief as a strong believer in human rights and civil right for all. One act, one situation or simply how you are born does not define you to God and it should not to man…but it does. God uses struggles to show people his way and bring them to God, I journey I have been on myself. Not everyone can understand that or accept that as we do not all have a shared experience. However, I believe those who God has taken on the hard road should come along side those who may just be further behind on that path. God does not work miracles in our lives or give us our “riches” and gifts because we won some type of prize. Rather it is in turn to use that to minister to others in his name….and not judge those who may be in a bad place.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised loosely affiliated with the Catholic Church, but gained little from it. IN the military I began to be exposed to Christian (vs Catholics) and began to understand that it was more that joining a club. Through some rough patches in life God pushed me towards seeking him, frankly out of desperation. As I have gotten older I have gotten more confident in my beliefs and committed to pursuing them.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Nothing substantial. I was in MOPS for many years and attended and help coordinated some small local moms bible studies…but that is it.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My time in the military.

Having children.

Seeing God constantly “clear my path” to push me into more action for him.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My experience in the Catholic Church.

Divorce.

Death of loved one.

  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Increase my forma education so I can better articulate Christianity to to others.

4. Serve to counsel those who are in difficult times.

5. Become a Chaplain.
