S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Jessica Bentley for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

[H]eart
1. I love to teach — which is why I am a teacher. Being able to connect with people and deepen their understanding of concepts makes me fulfilled.
2. I love to spend time with family and loved ones. Investing in their life and seeing my impacts pours into my self-esteem and self-love.
3. Making Matthew stronger. This can be by making him happier, have a wider breadth of understanding, growing in a relationship, or being more secure as a friend, husband, and man.
I can work with others well. I work best with people who allow me to take charge and delegate tasks. I like to be efficient and do things in the most time conscious way.
I am concerned people my age and younger are not as invested in the Lord and in a church— or have not relationship with God at all. I love youth group; it gives me hope.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I had a difficult few years in high school. I was in a bad place with my parents—especially my dad— which made me hate God. I had two years where I was not close to Him at all and had a lot of resentment towards my situations. One night I really just broke down because of frustration and prayed and started back on my walk. It was reassuring at that time because I knew God had never left me or stopped loving me. He never cast me out but let me wander to come back.
I help facilitate bible studies at my school.
