Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

[E]xperience

While I was searching for the truth about God and religion, a Christian friend gave me an apologetic book. It made sense to me and I prayer the prayer at the back.

In almost every church I’ve been in, I ended up running children’s ministry (always seems to be the area most churches are struggling and have a high need). At Calgary Life Church in Calgary, Alberta (a church of about 1,000), I was on staff as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator – with about 100+ volunteers under me, 7 departments and hundreds of children. I have also successfully done children’s outreach events such as: VBS, Camps, carnival, etc. (This adds up to about 30 years experience)

Everywhere I go, I also end up helping to administrate or organize ministries, programs, schools, events, meetings, etc. (This adds up to about 27 years experience)

I have taught some Bible College courses at Victory Bible College in Calgary, AB and have occasionally spoken during the Sunday morning services (6 Years). More recently I led a few small groups (2 years)

I was able to take a struggling or non-existent ministry (like Children’s), research and learn how to do it then recruit and train other’s to do it until it ran without me.

Teaching people and seeing it make a difference in people’s lives.

Learning how to train and delegate to others (because it was too big for myself) and seeing other people thrive in serving with their God given gifts

Practically killing myself trying to figure it out a ministry and do what needed to be done before I was able to recruit and train others to do it. In the begging sometimes you end up doing most of the work yourself rather than equipping and empowering others. Very unsatisfying for me.

Having a driving passion to see the church and people grow but lacking the volunteers or finances to see it through effectively.

Trying to teach a new subject, like Apologetics, without the proper amount of time to research and study it. You feel like you just haven’t done the subject justice and that haven given more time, you could have done a much more effective job teaching it.
