Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I became a Christian in my childhood, but strayed from God’s path until well into my 40’s when I felt called to return to His ways and to start trusting in His plan for my life and that of my family.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Sunday School Teacher- about 2 years Community United Methodist Church of Oldsmar, about 2005-2008

Bible Study Group Facilitator at various times while attending Advent Lutheran Church in Suntree 2010-2017

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Being baptized -taking the next step to show my fellow believers that I have accepted Jesus as Lord of my life.

Becoming a parent, realizing the importance of guiding my children on their life journey and a relationship with God.

Getting married- becoming one with my partner for life

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

The death of my mother- it is hard to understand how bereft this leaves you feeling, especially if you had a very close relationship with a parent or family member if you have not experienced this for yourself.

Death of my brother in law. He was only 45 and the gap it left in my sister’s heart (and all of us) taught me how to help someone recover from such a great loss, mostly by being supportive and listening. You can’t fix it, but you can be there for them.

Losing our house, along with our community and church family. Always thought it was somehow people’s own fault when this happened to them. I now know better, while we could have been more financially prepared, no one could have predicted the recession and pay cut that came with it for us. Felt like my entire support system, in addition to a home we all loved, was yanked out from under me. I have huge empathy for those in similar situations now.
