S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Laura Peterson for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Teaching (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Accuracy in general, and especially in God’s Word, is important to me. I love reading God’ Word and participating in Bible studies. I feel that any knowledge/wisdom/experiences God has given to me is to be used for the benefit of others. I enjoy talking about spiritual matters one-on-one or in small groups, but I do not like being in front of a classroom. I taught English in Japan for three years.

#2 Gift, Giving (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Just as God has richly blessed me, so should I use those resources to bless others. I enjoy giving to Christ-centered organizations that effectively and conscientiously use donors’ gifts. I never want to rely on my resources more than I rely on God. I love when God matches another’s need with my abundance. I am drawn to organizations that help the poor, disaster victims, and refugees from war-torn areas.

#3 Gift, Serving (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a heart for helping others, even when I don’t know exactly what to do. I’m good at seeing an immediate need and stepping in to help. I can do menial tasks if I think they will lighten the load for someone in crisis or in a leadership position.
