#1 Gift, Evangelism (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel its important to know that every trial or blessing in our life is not because of luck, family or a situation but because of God. The life lessons we experience are all planned out and all the Glory and Praise goes to him even when we go through periods of brokenness. I realized how much we grow through those times and how blessed we are before, during and after.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I encourage people daily, I just want people to keep their head up and keep pushing even when times are hard. Its so much negativity and pressure in the world I don’t want to be a apart of that crowd. I love being around positive energy, I want to uplift and motivate people we all have gifts and talents and sometimes we just need a little extra support or push from somebody to bring out the best in us.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I show mercy because (who am I to Judge), God shows us mercy and forgives us for our sins everyday. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes its all about how you bounce back and move forward.

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Spending time with my family, my daughter especially. She brings me joy, laughter, peace and love whenever we around each other. I’m family oriented so making sure the family is good definitely brings fulfillment and purpose in my life.

2. Helping out people thats less fortunate also brings me joy, interacting with people not for the camera or recognition but to show some one in the struggle that its still people out here that care about you, wont judge you and is interested in doing something that can make your day or week better.

3. Seeing myself and my people progress. Any type of progression spiritually, mentally, physically, financially etc is what I love to see and celebrate.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

High school kids and young adults is the age range I would love to work with knowing I can relate to them most remembering myself in their shoes and the different struggles and experiences they going through at this age. It’s also a very vulnerable time dealing with the worldly distractions and peer pressure to stay focused and do whats right.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in the church being forced by my mom, she tried the problem was the church never fed my spirit and throught 19-29 years old I stopped going. Life got got crazy and I felt I needed more positive substance back in my life and wanted to start going back to church. I would check out Zion and always loved the energy and message. I decided on my birthday to return back into the word, environment and serve, tithe and fellowship. Growing through small group and service has helped transition me mentally and grown spiritually where I can call myself a Christian now more than ever based off my walk.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Shiloh Baptist Church 9th and P st NW DC, I was a youth usher about 4 years.

Zion Landover Maryland, Production team 1 year.

Feeding the homeless and back pack giveaways with Zion and small group.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Graduating from college.

Having a daughter.

Enjoying my career.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Going through the criminal justice system, jail, lawyers, court rooms all helped shaped me to be a better positive person to stay out the way and so I would never have to experience again. Life is already hard enough but our decisions and actions can make it even harder when its time to face the consequences.

Financial decisions being young and immature with money, loans and credit. Not knowing any better and understating how much debt and credit score matters as you transition from your 20 into your 30’s.

Growing up in a community where negativity is the norm, its all you know and see until you get older, step out of your environment, start traveling and meeting new people with different mindsets that expands your thinking way beyond what you saw in that community you grew up in.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Giving back to my community, providing jobs above minimum wage to people with backgrounds and training if they have low experience.

4. Get into real estate and having certain homes in the city with a team of dedicated people where we could utilize places for emergency shelter or temporary depending on the situation.

5. Mission Trips across the world
