Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and attended church regularly. I answered God’s call to salvation at the age of 6.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I was a member of the Groton Bible Chapel orchestra in the early 1990s. I served for 5 summers in the 90’s at Camp Berea in NH (2 summers as a counselor, 1 osummer on the maintenance crew, 1 summer as the maintenance director, and 1 summer on the Program Team). I was a youth group leader in 1998 & 1999 at the West Chicago Baptist Church where I also occasionally participated with the music team.

For 12 years I attended the North Woolwich Methodist Church where I served on the missions committee and worship committee, taught Sunday school, and led worship on occasion. For five years I was on the worship team for the chapel services at Bowdoin College.

I have attended Freeport Baptist for 7 years and am a member. I have taught Sunday School, preached, led worship, and served on the Nonminating Committee, Pastoral Transition Committee, and Pastoral Search Committee.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Marrying Mei-Ning and having four great kids.

Seeing my kids grow in their faith.

Having non-family member mentors in my youth.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Burying our twin sons, Samuel & Joseph.

Having a business fail miserably.

Watching an older boy fall to his death when I was 10.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. 10x my business to serve more clients, employee more people, and be able to give more to Kingdom work.

4. 10x our real estate holdings to be able to free up time for ministry, be a blessing to my kids and grandkids, and give more to Kingdom work.

5. Travel 6 months of the year to visit missionaries and help them with financial management, construction projects, and other practical needs.
