S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Bonnie Brown for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I was in church off and on from the time I was very young, but I didn’t really become a Christian until I was a teen. Even then, I didn’t really live it. I knew God was real, and I had plenty of experiences with Him. But I was still feeling empty and trying to live life my way. I finally got serious about pursuing God after a failed suicide attempt in 2018. The day I came home from the hospital, God commanded me to “submit”, and I finally did.
Hearing God speak to me was an experience that changed me completely.
Being baptized was like my “never go back” moment. I am a new person, and I never want to go back to what I was before.
Going to work for a Christian organization has completely allowed me to change my life for the better. Being around more positive influences helped me to be more confident in my transition to a more Christian lifestyle.
Hearing church members (at a church associated with my employer) discussing the type of people they weren’t interested in bringing into their congregation made me think a lot deeper about how Jesus wants everyone. I would have fallen into the category of people they didn’t want at their church, but God still pursued me when I wasn’t worthy.
Being put in a psychiatric facility on a temporary hold was a horrible experience,
but it gave me more empathy and compassion for others than any other experience I can think of.
Having my first child, who was unexpected and arrived at a very inconvenient time in my life, gave me so much empathy for women who are in difficult situations like a crisis pregnancy.
