At my current job, I try to encourage my kids to stay positive and focus on the things they love to take their mind off the negative of their situations.

I love giving gifts that are what people actually need and want. It warms my heart to give a thoughtful gifts, it’s honestly better than receiving anything in return.

I don’t always do this well but I do try to see life from other people’s perspectives so that I can understand why they do the thing they do. God showed me mercy so why shouldn’t I show that to others.

[H]eart

1. I would be lying if I didn’t put sleep on here. I enjoy sleeping. Helping to make someone’s life easier by assisting with tasks brings joy and fulfillment to my life.

2. Organizing really brings joy and fulfillment to my life. If my space is clean and everything is in its proper place, I feel like I can conquer any tasks and it keeps my stress low.

3. Making handmade, DIY or personalized gifts for people really brings me joy and fulfillment.

I love working with children, teens especially. I feel that it is easier to communicate with older children but working with kids in general is exciting.

Probably setting up church events, decorating the church events on a limited budget but creating an amazing and unforgettable experience. Possibly organizing church camps and mission trips along with community outreach. Organizing the administrative side for the church with systems. I thoroughly enjoy creating or improving systems. Also, just assisting where I’m needed.

My father was a Reverend so growing up he had a church we attended. All of my dad’s side participated in church in some way. My maternal grandma would take me to church with her every Sunday during my summers spent with her.

Covenant Church in Carrollton, Texas was always warm and inviting. Though it was a big church, I always felt like I was known by name and just by being another number.

Beth and Kenya wanting to go to church during college and making a point to get involved in Bible Study.

Gary and Chyanne wanting to go to church regularly and then sitting and speaking about the Word after.

Living in one room at Uncle Kenneth’s home due to Aunt Lisa selling the bed from under me.

My father never making time for me as a priority and not being protective while I was growing up. The loss of my father and grandparents at a young age.

Not feeling that I had control of my future in terms of my major in college or just life in general. Constantly moving and having to start over.
