[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Communicating (Preaching)

2. Meeting with People

3. Spending time with my family

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love Young adult ministry specifically, but I really love working with my high school students too. I think more than anything just being around younger families and college age students is the greatest thing in the world for me.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I think it’s reaching out to the millennial generation. It’s often overlooked and I think discarded because everyone sees them as lazy.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My best friend killed himself at 15 years old and I had another friend of mine continue to encourage me to come to church. I eventually did and attended a DNOW style event where I genuinely met Jesus for the first time and it completely changed my life.

First Baptist Church Pearland
Helped in leading worship for students (5 years)

Second Baptist Church Pearland

High School and Young Adult Pastor (4 years)

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Constant support from my parents

Meeting and marrying my wife

A meeting that I had with my current senior pastor that challenged me to really get my life together.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Going through my friend’s dad’s suicide and then later another friend’s suicide

Massive Job Change

My parent’s deaths
