I helped start a multicultural urban church in Waterbury, Connecticut and served as a home missionary with the Baptist Convention of New England for 25 years. I was a clinical director for several behavioral health care programs in Connecticut.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have experience teaching adult Sunday School for 25 years and leading women’s ministry for 25 years. I also facilitated lectures for the Alzheimer’s Association in Connecticut. I currently help my husband teach Sunday School for 3rd-5th graders every 6 weeks.

I was able to disciple new Christians in Connecticut. I also encourage my psychotherapy clients to learn skills to help them improve their lives.

I grew up in church and accepted Christ as my personal savior at age 11. At age 15, I felt called to the ministry and made that decision public in my home church. I went to a baptist affiliated college and post graduation I served a 2 year missionary term in Brazil and then entered The Baptist Theological Seminary in 1985-1988 and got my MSW/Theology degree.

Missionary in Natal,Brazil from 1982-1984. Social service worker in a Brazilian Baptist community agency and taught missionary children ages 13,12, 8 and 10.

Missionary for the Home Mission Board serving The New England Baptist Convention in Waterbury, Connecticut from 1988-2006. Served on various committees for the Western Connecticut Baptist Association and the New England Baptist Convention.

Helped start a multicultural urban church in Waterbury, Connecticut from 1991-2013. Adult Sunday School teacher, Women’s Ministry leader/teacher, pre-school teacher, Small Group leader.

Missionary to Brazil.

Opportunity to travel to Italy, England, Canada, Greece,Jamaica and Brazil.

Served as a short term missionary to Greece teaching leaders at an adolescent camp how to lead small groups. Worked with a christian psychiatrist in Greece.

Father was an alcoholic and mother had Schizophrenia. Father is in recovery now and mother is deceased x 5 yrs.

Divorced husband that served as a pastor. Ministerial friends and their spouses shunned me.

Grew up in a small town that was very judgmental re mental health issues.
