[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I became a Christian after my dad started to take us to church. I started to question whether God was real or not. Prior to this I thought I was too good to need to go to church. A few years later I went to church camp and that was when I realized that I was not perfect and that I need God in my life. After becoming a Christian I got baptized and started going to church regularly and serving.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I served as a small group leader in kids ministry at Palm Valley Church in Goodyear, Arizona. I served for 2014 – 2018

When I started attending Mission church in Goodyear, Arizona I started serving as a small group leader in kids ministry. I started serving from 2019 till now.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Going to a mission trip to Jamaica. I got out of my comfort zone and this experienced encouraged me to seek out more opportunities to serve in the church. I also learned the importance of vulnerability.

When I got baptized at Palm Valley Church.

When I started going to Mission Church and serving. As well as becoming an intern at Mission Church.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Finally admitting that my parent’s divorce and affair had a negative impact on my life and caused me to use different things to block out my thoughts.

Someone telling me that I came off as rude to him. This made me realize that I close off myself to people because I am afraid to be rejected.

Being sexual harassed in middle school made me more compassionate and understanding of people that have gone through the same thing.
