S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Caran Thomas for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Administration (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Life is based on organizational instruction and the ability to manage important information in a way that is conducive of life skills and lifestyle.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
God has given me a spirit of compassion. Has a woman who has been taken advantage of and taken advantage of other while neglecting myself in the process, I am very well aware of being able to listen to others and share my testimony to spread how good God is and how good He has been.

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have been through a lot in my short life and I have been through the unthinkable life experiences of domestic violence, loss of a parent, bullying, mental illness, homelessness, teen parenthood, loss of employment, eviction, unfaithfulness and heartache, yet still I rise and persevere giving all the praise and glory to God through my testimony. Because I have gone through and have seen the abundance of overflow, I am able to encourage others into their victorious journey.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to spend time with my 3 wonderful children and Glam-daughter by designating “Mommy & Me” time with each of them once a month.

2. I love to travel and plan on knocking 3 “bucket list” international travel ‘cations off my list within 5 years.

3. I love to train, teach/facilitate and coordinate events.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with any age group of people that are willing to improve on their financial success, their emotional well-being, their financial fitness, as well as their physical being. I love to grow from their successes, as well as learn from their setbacks.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

What concerns me the most regarding our church is that one of our goals is to grow our body of Christ through inviting people and connect groups; however, we are missing the mark by not taking a temperature check about how many 1st time visitors that come to our services. We don’t consistently acknowledge them nor do we give them a “welcome” gift.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My dear Mother brought me to Christ at a young age; however, my testimony is that I did NOT become a true BELIEVER until my mid-30’s. I am a survivor of date rape, domestic abuse, mental abuse, homelessness, catastrophic disaster, abortion, financial failure, divorce, mental illness and educational setbacks. Through all I have been through and all that I have survived, God still continues to show grace, mercy and an overflow of blessings though it all. #ButGod
