Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I became a Christian when I was about 12 years old and was empowered at a young age that I could be a great role model sharing the love of Jesus with others

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Joplin Mo First Christian Church

Jefferson City Mo First Christian Church
Temple Texas First Christian Church

Fulton Mo First Christian Church

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Being asked to teach a class of kindergarten children as the lead teacher with adults as helpers during VBS at Fulton First Christian Church when I was 15 years old

After having unexpected triplets, experiencing the love and support of my church family to help me care for three babies and their older brother who was 5 years old. I have loved “paying that forward’ to others when they have needs and just need support. (In Joplin First Christian Church)

Having the mental and physical support of my RCC church family when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and all that goes with that (chemo, surgery, doctor appointments, reconstruction) Again I often reach out to others to “pay that forward” because that love and support sustained me in my time of need.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Unexpected death of my father when I was in my early 30s. I was so disappointed in the minister’s lack of support and empathy for me in those first hours of hearing that news.

Church SS “friends” lack of support when one of our sons and his girlfriend (at the time–wife now) found out that they were going to have a baby. Very judgemental statements made to us about their disappointment in him and in us as parents. Actually made us leave RCC for at least 6 month..untll some friends contacted us and invited us back to a different SS class.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. To build our church to be the center of our community

4. To be involved in health care mission work in other partsof the world

5. To travel the world and see all of God’s magnificent creations
