S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Casey for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Because I have been in a Church setting now and worked in a Church setting now for over 2 years and sometimes I feel like it boxes me up. I want to share God’s word and the Gospel of His Son Jesus with people that are open to Him, but just don’t know Him.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I don’t want no one to tell me wrong, therefore I don’t want to tell anyone else wrong. None of us can afford to have it wrong. When it comes to God’s word and the Helper of the Holy Spirit, all of us now have the ability to learn directly from God and from each other the Truth about… Who He is, What His word says.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to pick people up and believe in people. I enjoy seeing the God quality inside of people and speaking to that quality and watching it come to Life. To me, it’s purpose. With a world that is so dark and sinnacle, who couldn’t use encouragement everyday.
[H]eart
1. Share the Love of God (Jesus) with people. To have them understand how much He Loves them and how He will never give up on them. He didn’t even spare His own son on the Cross while we were yet sinner.
2. Meet new people from new settings and discover the different world’s that people live in and operate in on a daily basis. Experiences
3. Help people get better. I want to be the best me for God that I can be. I want them to know and discover how to be the best them for God that they can be. I believe this is self discovery that comes through the process of losing your life for Jesus Christ.
New to Church people, Non Church people, Church People but not on an everyday basis (but I love them and want to work with them because they are so valuable and needed) . Professional Athletes, Aspiring Athletes, people that no one else thinks they can reach… therefore they don’t even try or are too scared to try. Maybe they aren’t even equipped to try. I Love walking into situations that I never could have pictured myself walking into and ministering to people like that. Because in those moments… gut check moments. It is in those moments that I find God’s strength to Love and minister to them. It is in those moments that I know that I was born to do this. Age Group – Mature High School, College aged, and beyond. I love kids, just don’t believe that it’s my calling to work with them day in and day out.
Team work concerns me in the local church- This comes down to focusing on the things that matter the most, collectively. The pure Gospel of Jesus concerns me with the local church. The unbalanced efforts of excellence and too many procedures concern me with the local church.
I Love to share my experiences with the Youth and chop it up with them. Sports ministry really excites me. Creative ministry, Church and Community, where the rubber meats the road, new innovative and natural ways to minister the Love of God to people really excites me.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I chased after every unhealthy flesh motivated desire that I had when I was in Major League Baseball. “I wanted the world chico, and everything in it.”I wanted to be both liked by everyone and accepted by everyone, which I realize is now impossible and not necessary. After chasing women, alcohol, drug hi’s, and other worldy comforts… I found out they were all lies and empty. Life without Jesus is meaningless and empty. I began to despair of life and this is when I bowed down both knees to Jesus Christ on July 15th, 2009.

The Rock Church – Follow Up ministry
My conversation with Rajai Davis on the plane in 2009. Changed my life and made me take a look, for the first time ever, how I was living.
My entrance into Major League Baseball – 2007. A dream come true. Something that I felt in my heart I was born to be a part of. Even though at times I didn’t allow myself to feel worthy, I knew I always belonged. If I ever get an opportunity to do it again… I will never again make the mistake of allowing myself to feel like I don’t belong there, for any reason. This experience showed me who God is, How He works, How people work, What life is truly all about.
Meeting my wife Abby in 2011. This woman is my rock and my helper. She is such a Proverbs 31 woman. Almost perfect to a tee. Sexy, Smart, Seductive, Sensual, Business like, intelligent, driven, compassionate, Loves God purely and passionately. Loves people and enjoys them genuinely.
Abby and my debt – I never thought I would have to ask for help, or be on welfare. I never thought I would ever be this broke. It has given me compassion for those who are struggling to get up when they are trying their best to.
The Night I got stabbed – it gave me compassion for those who are chasing after worldly desires and make terrible, spur of the moment choices. It gave me an appreciation for parents, my parents thought they were going to lose me. It gave me an appreciation for life, I thought I was going to die. It taught me that fighting and violence are not the answer, I handedly won the fight (battle) but nearly lost the war. Loyalty – I was shallow towards my parents who gave up so much for me. I was later on shallow with a good friend that I could have been loyal too, Bobby, but I wasn’t even though we shared this near death experience together.
Ari getting sick – It is such a helpless feeling to have a sick child and be able to do nothing about it. She was only a month and 1/2, she couldn’t communicate, but just the exchanges of looks between her and I. I will never forget the compassion and pain I felt for her during that time. It also activated a deep faith in God. I also had to face some unthinkable possibilities and make choices to accept or reject them. I also learned to protect my child from an organization or a system that could have let her slip through the cracks. This is where I learned, to honor the process. But when it’s not working… You need to connect with the right person.
