S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Catherine Kirk for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I accepted the Lord in Kindergarten at the end of a chapel service. My parents left the church, but I continued to attend, going with friends and neighbors. My parents eventually came back when I was in high school, when I mentioned how church was full of families, yet I didn’t have mine there. I got more serious in my faith in college, through Intervarsity, then the college group at my church.
Sunday School helper-Calvary Chapel Oro Valley-2 years
Sunday School helper Calvary Chapel Fredericksburg, VA-3 years
MOPS leadership-Spotsylvania Baptist Church in VA-2 years
Living all across the U.S. as a former military spouse for 15 years made me more independent.
My college small group friends and I are still friends. We met all through college doing various Bible studies.
God gave me my heart’s desire to become a mom. This has helped me with my teaching greatly.
Divorce in 2017
Church “expulsion” for standing up for scripture in 2000 in GA with my former spouse. Later discovered the pastor had a history of doing this, in various churches in the south. It sure hurt, though. Makes me cautious to get involved in church, though I know I need to.
Watching my siblings not live for Christ and for self made me see how not to live.
