#1 Gift, Evangelism (96%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
It’s my passion to share and show the love of Jesus Christ to those who are in most need of it.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
In my own personal times of brokenness I have been blessed by so many amazing people assigned by God to encourage and help me in times of great pain and struggle. Because of this I take great joy in opportunities where God can use me to uplift and encourage those who like myself are experiencing brokenness, pain, disappointments and the challenges that life often brings.

#3 Gift, Teaching (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
My life has been and continues to be changed by God’s living word. Because of this I have a steady fire inside of me to share this great treasure with others by teaching the word of God in a way that is first and foremost always directed by the Holy Spirit, relevant to the audience , and using creative teaching methods and unpretentious language (real talk) that would have the potential to steer people away from the intimidation of the Bible, and help move them into a place of greater intimacy and understanding of it.v

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Prayer and Worship

2. Cooking, it brings me joy to make meals for my family, friends and community.

3. CrossFit – this fitness program has made me stronger both naturally and spiritually. I love the CrossFit program and have been regularly attending Detroit CrossFit Gym for two years!

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I appreciate the opportunity to work with people who challenge and stretch me. I believe a diverse team comprised of a mix of ages, ideas , races, cultures and backgrounds are the best soil for personal growth and learning.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I am concerned in ministry when I see others being intentionaly overlooked or purposely left out of specific projects or communications. I get excited when God uses me to bring those same types of people to the forefront to be used by him .

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I received Christ in my heart at 12 years of age, but became a true follower of Jesus after the birth of my daughter at age 25. God had revealed his love for me in my early 20’s while experiencing bouts of intense depression and suicidal thoughts. He saved Mr from that pit and helped me climb on out. After giving birth to my daughter it became my desire to follow his ways and seek his leadership over my life. Soon after her birth God led me to Citadel , and it was at Citadel where I fell in love with him and became not only a believer/follower but a worshipper for life!

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Citadel of Faith – 13 years, Prayer, Creative Arts, Worship , Outreach

The Bridge -1 year. Church planting

Woodside – Missions, Outreach Prayer Team

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I was a rebellious and bad behaved middle schooler .My 9th grade drama teacher Cathy Davis believed in me and gave me a chance at playing the lead in the school play though I was least deserving of it. She impacted my life greatly and I became a much better teen and student because of her .

My Pastor Harvey Carey, showed me the love and patience of a Father and Shepard in a way I had never been shown before . His love and pastoral care I will never forget and helped me to reconcile with my birth Father and love and believe in myself again .

The Greening Detroit, a non profit organization that believed in my visions and ideas for community and school programming . They have me a platform and space to discover I can achieve anything I set my mind to.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Family rejection and abandonment. God revealed himself to me as a faithful Father and friend during these painful times as a child and an adult.

Church hurt- made more sensitive and aware to the needs of my brothers and sisters in the church, and in addition taught me what true forgiveness and reconciliation means

Homeless- one of my most difficult journey was going through a long period of time without a home of my own. This experience bv greatly humbled me and I learned how to lean and trust God in a while new way. My Faith was increased.
