S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Caylee for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I think in everyone’s life they need some kind of encouragement. We all fall and sometimes it’s hard to get back up and small encouragement can help people a long ways.

#2 Gift, Serving (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I try to help and serve others as much as possible. I strongly believe in actions speak louder then words and if you want to be a good leader then you should serve others first.

#3 Gift, Giving (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I tend to give to others because I feel like it is the right thing to do. Some days can be harder then other and sometimes giving a little can turn the whole day around.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I like to talk to people. I try to help guide people in the best way possible. I try to see both sides of every story. I am often told I should be a counselor.

2. I like to give people chocolate. I think chocolate and food is the best way to peoples heart. Some days we just need a little joy and if people can depend on me for chocolate then I hope people can depend on me for trust.

3. I try to help others see different perspectives. Sometimes it’s not perspectives they want to see, but it helps them/us grow in many ways.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I like to work with well rounded, smart, and mature people. I like to work with people who have an awesome character and a good sense of humor. I tend to work well with younger people to help guide them. I often feel like older people try to make me feel unimportant when I know I have something to prove.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Christians are known to have a bad reputation and I hope to change that. I like that we can all congregate together but I hope that outside people can see the love we are trying to bring and not judgement.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
