My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

High School bible study with friends and a dynamic leader from a Bible Church involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I accepted Christ publicly as well as in my heart.

Acolyte, Server, St. Thomas the Apostle Dallas up through the age of 13, Cursillo 186 at Bishop Mason Center, Dallas Diocese, Team at Cursillo 192.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Loss of father at 9, growing up the eldest of 4 with a widowed mother and taking responsibility for the family and its finances way too early. Military school during high school, fraternity in college, running my own business at age 20, marriage at 23 and the birth of my two children. Finding Carole, my soul mate, taking on her children in their teens. Cursillo. Doug Travis and Jim Stanton through St. James EP. Now St. Johns.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Alcoholism in my family, loss of a brother and a sister to this disease. Having to leave my friends behind because of their drug addiction issues. Losing friends over my divorce in 1989. Loss of relationships with my children because of my divorce. Learning to deal with Alcoholism.
